12 year old girl and 13 year old boy have become Britain’s youngest parents after the girl gave birth to a 7lb baby daughter last night. The girl fell pregnant at 11 after being in a relationship with a boy who lives near her home in London.
They have the lowest joined age of any parents in British history and their combined age means that they’re younger than her own mum. Someone who knew the family said that the couple were “totally in love” after being in a relationship for over a year and they were even talking about getting married!
The girl’s mother is only 27 and that makes her the youngest grandmother in the UK. The girl says that she would like to go back to school and should be going back in September hopefully. The girl and boy parents are very supportive for them and will help in any way possible; they also put a picture of the baby online to show how proud they are.
Apparently they’re very into each other and it isn’t a fleeing situation. The couple say they will be together forever and they want to be there for their daughter. All we can do is hope that the couple stay together and that the baby gets all of the help and support that it needs.
